Community and Events Internship

As the Community and Events Intern, you'll help to support our community of supporters and volunteers. You will also research and help us to develop new events and campaigns, as well as interact with our amazing supporters.

At Please Take Me There we don't believe in CVs. If you want to apply to our internships, just let us know why do you believe you are the right person to help us out. Click bellow or email us at hello@pleasetakemethere.org.

You will:

  • Monitor fundraising and donations campaigns
  • Answer questions from our supporters
  • Manage and analyse data on successful fundraising.
  • Handle office management tasks for the Marketing Team.
  • Create and assist with team marketing plans and campaigns, from copywriting to proofing of all marketing materials.
  • Come up with and pitch ideas for events/campaigns that can improve our outreach.
  • Be a (very important) part of us!

You are:

  • You're keen to change someone's world - You want to learn. You know the positive impact of what transportation does. You're committed to our mission.
  • You're communicative and professional - You're more than capable of providing information concisely and effectively to everyone contacting Please Take Me There. You make sure you know the situation or data inside and out before communicating it to supporters or a team member.
  • You like to learn and ask questions - You don't take it for granted. Instead, you learn all our systems and procedures.  You're not afraid to say you don't know. You see positive feedback as a good thing and hope to learn from it.
  • You're independent and committed - You can handle several tasks without constant supervision. Please Take Me There can count on you. You're confident and capable of representing us when talking with supporters or partners.

We are looking for a student, recent graduate, or adult out of work, to start Jan 2018 for a 12-week period. We'll need you up to 16 hours over 2 to 3 days a week. Ideally you will live in or near Cambridge, United Kingdom.

This is an unpaid internship but is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a new charity with a huge ambition. We cover (reasonably) travel and lunch expenses.
